Low to Mid to High-Rise
Many Toronto streets are experiencing a transition from low-rise to mid-rise, and from mid-rise to high-rise buildings, depending upon the area, as we look to fit more people on our land, and hopefully create a more lively and efficient city. In this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor DavidCapizzano, Church Street is one of those streets that until 20 years ago only had low or mid-rise building lining it. Now, new development is high-rise, like The Saint and 88 Queen that can be seen with cranes above them.
